Mudbox now out of Weta’s hands, tuned its focus on Zbrush, both ILM and Weta collaborated closely with Pixologic to make an emerging sculpting software the leading sculpting software in the industry today.ĭuring this time they made no effort changing the interface (tablet or not) which i find a ridiculous excuse BTW because that would imply all software including photoshop should now look like Zbrush to be efficient for tablet use!
During this time Zbrush was lagging behind Mudbox.
I mentioned Mudbox was king back in those days and I don’t know where you get your info but Mudbox was killed off soonest former Weta (And Weta because they were using it in production and providing feedback and improvemnts) were bought off by Autodesk.
